Chorley's July Auction

Tuesday 24 - Wednesday 25 July 2018

A number of items from the former home of legendary Rolling Stones drummer Charlie Watts will go under the hammer at Chorley’s Country House Sale on Tuesday 24 and Wednesday 25 July.

The Gloucestershire based Foscombe House was home to Watts in the seventies when the Rolling Stones were at the zenith of their career. The drummer had the coach house converted into a studio to play in peace away from prying neighbours.

Interesting lots from the property include a pair of extravagant mid-19th Century ormolu three-branch three-light candelabra and a striking carriage clock by Charles Frodsham, distinguished English horologist.

The sale will showcase unique pieces, furniture and works of art from a number of renowned country estates.
