Heritage Centre over run with Dragons!

Dragon Festival at Dean Heritage Centre

On Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th October the Dean Heritage Centre (DHC) will be overrun with delightfully mischievous dragons.

Wizzywig the Wizard and Ermentrude the Witch will be returning to the Centre to introduce their European baby dragons, hatched from their favourite Dragon sanctuary in the Welsh Marches.

The magical pair will ignite imaginations with exciting myths and tails and enthral visitors with a colourful and musical Dragon procession.
Commenting on their visit, Ermentrude said: “Take a seat and let your imagination loose as we weave our words into fascinating stories. We have tales both traditional and original from all quarters of the globe, designed to enchant kids and adults alike.
Our dragon procession with our gorgeous red beastie is full on fun. There’s plenty for the wee ones too, hot on the dragon’s heels with colourful flags and lots of noise!”

Crafty bits and pieces will be provided to make your very own dragon to take home as a souvenir of the day.

Harri le Claire, PR and Event manager said: “We are absolutely thrilled to have Wizzywig, Ermentrude and their beautiful dragons back to the DHC. Their last visit was spectacular, a visual and audible feast for all who attended. We look forward to hosting again on the 25th and 26th October. It’s perfect for any fans of the ‘Merlin’ series or ‘How to train your dragon’.”

Dragon festival activities are all included in standard admission to the DHC. Details can be found at www.deanheritagecentre.com.
