News from the 2015 Hobgoblin Cheltenham Comedy Festival

Now in its’ fifth year, Cheltenham’s Funniest Festival builds on the success of previous years and returns with more top class comedy, quirky events, family fun and our bumper FESTIVAL FINALE! Festival organisers are hugely excited to announce the biggest and funniest Festival including Mark Watson, Arthur Smith, Josh Widdicombe, Hal Cruttenden, Nina Conti, Festival Of The Spoken Nerd and The Noise Next Door with shows already selling out!

The Hobgoblin Cheltenham Comedy Festival is back with a bang and will run from 20th – 26th September 2015 across various venues in the town, with an enviable line up of top comedians and up and coming stars including a specially programmed day just for kids.

Highlights include:

  • THE HOBGOBIN FESTIVAL FINALE! - The festival will finish off in fine style with a bumper Festival Finale at Cheltenham Town Hall on Saturday 26th September. A jam-packed evening headlined by TV and literary star Mark Watson and featuring comedy legend Arthur Smith, Radio 4 musical genius Mitch Benn, the exquisite Dana Alexander and compered by Stuart Goldsmith.
  • The Family Fun Day which includes the return of Squashbox Theatre with their hilarious production of Curious Creatures where you can expect to meet performing fleas, skateboarding snails and an over-excited elephant! Festival favourites Comedy Club 4 Kids are back featuring the best of the UK comedy circuit - but without the rude bits!
  • Headline shows from Hal Cruttenden, The Noise Next Door, Nina Conti, Josh Widdicombe and comedy mountaineer Andy Kirkpatrick.
  • The Late Comedy Night - a night featuring a mixed bill of the very best UK & local comedians featuring Howard Read, Jenny Collier, Becky Brunning and George Rigden and many more.
  • More locally themed comedy from John Wagstaffe, as well as sketch impro chums Knowing Smirk.
