It’s close to Halloween and something evil’s lurking in the dark...

National Star are hosting the first ever Thriller Ball at Gloucester Guildhall on Saturday October 31st and they are calling upon people to dust off their ripped clothes, break out the fake blood and splash on the face paints for what will be the city’s ultimate Halloween bash.

Bands Velvet Love and the Memphis One, Temple of Ladies, The Femmes and Friends Ukenited will provide the entertainment on the evening, ensuring that even the walking dead will be up on their feet.

David Ellis, chief executive of National Star, said, “We’re really excited for people to experience National Star’s first ever Thriller Ball, which promises to deliver some scarily good Halloween entertainment.

“All money raised from the ball will enable us to continue working with people with disabilities, enabling them to live their lives independently and to the full.”

Dan Charles, programming and marketing manager at Gloucester Guildhall said, “If you’re a fan of The Walking Dead, Resident Evil and Sean of the Dead, get your sad rags on and get to Gloucester Guildhall this Halloween.”

Cllr Lise Noakes, Cabinet member for culture and leisure at Gloucester City Council said, “The Guildhall continues to offer a variety of events during our BiG Year. People will be in for a fun night at the Thriller Ball and they’ll be helping a good cause too.”

Tickets are on sale now priced at just £10 (£12 on the door). You can buy yours from www.gloucesterguildhall.co.uk or by calling 01452 503050.
