Sandford Parks Lido announces a longer season for 2016
Sandford Parks Lido have today announced that it will be opening its gates to swimmers earlier this year and that the start of the 2016 season will begin on Saturday 9th April at 11am.
In celebration of its 21st year as a trust, the Lido will be offering a full six month season with the lido opening earlier and closing later. This year the season will run until 8th October, which will be the longest operating season since the charitable trust took over operation of the lido in 1996. .
The annual ‘Turning Back Time’ day returns for the opening day with entrance thrown back to the 1935 price of 2 pence (equivalent of sixpence) and staff dressed in traditional navy white’s uniform.
To make the most of the new opening dates why not apply for a Season tickets this year? Application forms will be available from the 1st March.
Entries have been flooding in for all of the sporting events that will be taking place this year so if you haven’t already signed up please do so now to avoid disappointment.
