Phoenix Festival goes Britpop!

Phoenix Festival goes Britpop!

The Phoenix Festival are proud to go Britpop with two of the best live tribute bands in the UK!

This year the much loved summer free festival will bring you a fusion of classic rock and independent pop in the Abbey Grounds, Cirencester on Saturday 27th & Sunday 28th August, with headliners Oas-is and Who’s Next.

Oas-is are five experienced musicians who live and breathe Manchester’s finest Britpop band. They have toured around the world and take great pride in reproducing a fantastic Oasis look and sound. Expect lots of fun and attitude with classics such as Wonderwall, Roll With It, Morning Glory and many more.

Who’s Next capture a magical moment in time, when some of the greatest rock bands played on earth. Touring the UK and Europe since 2003, Who’s Next perform in their 70’s stage wear and play authentic instruments to give that ultimate rock experience. Expect an adrenalin-fueled show of The Who classics including Substitute, Pinball Wizard and My Generation.

A spokesperson from Who’s Next said: “We are very excited to play The Phoenix Festival in the beautiful Cotswolds, home of The Who’s late great bass guitarist John Entwistle and will be dedicating this show to him”.

Glen Moreman, Festival Organiser said “We are thrilled to have two very dynamic and dedicated tribute bands at the Phoenix this year. They celebrate so much that is great and good about British music and are sure to entertain and enthrall festival fans!”
