An Invitation for Mothering Sunday at Gloucester Cathedral
A special service will be held at Gloucester Cathedral on Sunday 6 March at 10.15am in celebration of Mothering Sunday.
The Very Reverend Stephen Lake, Dean of Gloucester, is inviting everyone to bring someone with them. He said “this could be a mother, grandmother, godmother or friend. Bring all your family with you and join us to share your love and gratitude for the special person in your life.”
The Cathedral Junior Choir made up of boys and girls aged 7-13 will be singing alongside the boys of the Cathedral Choir and the service will end with a presentation of flowers to all the mums who attend.
Following this special service the boys and girls of the Cathedral Junior Choir will perform a short concert in the Chapter House at 11.30am which is free to attend and will be a delight for all.
All are welcome so please do join us on this special day.
