Stone balancing comes to Painswick Rococo Garden this summer

Stone balancing comes to Painswick Rococo Garden this summer

Painswick's Rococo Garden will be hosting some beautiful, award-winning sculpture this summer. Adrian Gray's famous stonebalancing will be gracing the historic site during July and August, having won five gold stars at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show last month.

Drawing equally from art and maths, Adrian's sculptures are eyecatching in their natural beauty and skilful construction. Star of BBC's One Show and Channel 4's Grand Designs, Adrian will be installing his work ready for opening on 1 July.

In addition, Adrian will be onsite demonstrating his art throughout the day on Thursday 6 July. This will be a rare opportunity to see him at work.
Garden Director Dominic Hamilton says: "We started talking to Adrian about bringing his art here around eighteen months ago, so we're delighted to have finally pulled off this exhibition. The Garden is looking its most verdant at the moment, and his balanced stone sculptures will be a stunning addition to our long vistas and eyecatching follies."

Adrian Gray commented: "The Rococo Garden will be an idyllic setting for my work because of its stunning mix of views, architecture and landscape. I'm excited to be able to bring my work to such a high-profile Garden - and of course I'm hoping to sell a couple of them."

Adrian's six sculptures will be in the Garden from 1 July - 31 August 2017. The Garden is open seven days a week, 10.30am-5pm. Normal admission charges apply throughout.
