The Indian Festive Fair Comes to Museum of Gloucester

The Indian Festive Fair Comes to Museum of Gloucester

On Sunday 3rd September, The Hindu Cultural Association and Museum of Gloucester are teaming up to bring you the City’s first ever Indian Festive Fair.

The Fair will offer an exciting mix of activities and things to see and do, including Making Clay Ganesha, Indian National Symbols and Heroes, and stalls selling the likes of Indian Diyas, accessories and snacks.

The event celebrates the 70th Anniversary of Indian Independence and also Ganesh Chathurthi.  It will be open to all, and is the perfect opportunity for families to experience Indian culture and enjoy the various stalls and activities that will be available throughout the day.

Sarah Orton, Curator at Gloucester Museums says “We are so pleased to be able to celebrate the 70th Anniversary of Indian Independence and the birthday of Lord Ganesha with all of Gloucester’s communities. It is going to be a colourful and fun day with lots of opportunities to join in with activities and events and experience the joy of Indian celebrations.”

The Indian Festive Fair will take place at Museum of Gloucester, Brunswick Road.  Stalls will be open between 11am and 2:30pm, followed by entertainment between 3pm and 4pm.

Entry is free, with a small fee at the stalls.
