Family Autumn Festival at Painswick Rococo Garden

Family Autumn Festival at Painswick Rococo Garden

The team at Painswick Rococo Garden are celebrating all things autumn with a Family Festival at the historic site this October. Running for three days between Friday 20th and Sunday 22nd, there will be seasonal activities to captivate all ages, including autumnal crafts, baked apples, apple bobbing and a chance to pick up gardening and wildlife tips from experts.

Each day, there will be the chance to hunt down one of our special golden apples and win a very special prize. One apple will be hidden in the Garden each day of the Festival, and the lucky finder will win a whole year's free family admission.

And in a brand new development for this year, visitors can now bring their own apples and juice them whilst on site. Working with the Painswick Orchard Group's wonderful apple press, fruit can be juiced, pasteurised and bottled in return for a small donation towards costs. The juicing machine will be in operation over the Festival weekend, as well as every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday until 28th October. So if you've fruit to spare - the more the better - just call on 01452 813204 in advance to book your juicing slot.

“We've been delighted to see so many more families enjoying our gorgeous garden this year, and our Family Autumn Festival comes at a time when the leaves on our ancient trees will be looking fantastic" says Dominic Hamilton, Garden Director. "As well as the usual delights of our maze, rustic play area and homemade cake, there's plenty of extra seasonal fun on the cards to get half term started."

Autumn Festival activities take place between 10.30 and 3pm, with the timetable will be available at www.rococogarden.org.uk. The Café will be open 10.30am-5pm throughout the weekend serving a delicious range of food and drinks, and the Shop stocks a wide range of high quality gifts.
