Museum of Gloucester Dinosaur exhibition approaching extinction!
Don’t miss out on Jurassic larks
After a busy summer filled with a huge range of Dino related activities, crafty workshops and engaging talks there’s only one week left before the dinosaurs become fossils again.
The exhibition runs until Saturday 28 October, so half term is the perfect time to take your budding palaeontologist along to the museum and unearth some fun.
Visitors can Try-ceratops their hand at interactive activities in the ‘Investigation Zone’, including life sized models and real fossils.
On Friday 27 October, palaeontologist Dr Alice Kennedy of the Gloucestershire Geology Trust will be at the museum for the last in the series of ‘Fossil Fridays’.
In this final workshop of the exhibition, Dr Kennedy will give a hands on demonstration of the methods used to find dinosaurs. This will include taking part in a special fossil hunt.
Parents need not fear things going the way of Jurassic Park, as the museum’s highly trained dinosaur wranglers will keep things under control…unless nature finds a way!
Cllr Lise Noakes, cabinet member for culture and leisure, said: “The appeal of dinosaurs spans generations of young people and they’re as popular today as ever before.
“The exhibition has been a roaring success, but this is the last chance to see it. Head down to the museum this week and see the dinosaurs for yourself.”
Entry is free for museum members. Day tickets are available for £5 Adult / £3 Concessions / £12 Family.
