Children’s Activities Programme at Taurus Crafts


School holidays at Taurus Crafts

Taurus Crafts, the go-to visitor centre for all things creative, is the perfect place for both children and adults to spend a few hours. This half term the centre is running a fun filled programme full of hands-on creative activities that will keep the kids entertainedfrom Saturday 26th May - Sunday  3rd June 2018.

Have you seen the ‘Internet phenomenon’ that is Slime? Have the kids been asking you to make slime at home? Why not create your own slime in our Slime School this Half term, local artist Jayme-Lee will provide you with the tools and knowhow to create the fluffiest, stretchiest and squishiest slime that is Instagram ready, and best of all you is that you can leave the mess with us.  

The activities programme is not just for little kids the bigger kids can get involved too, why not join local artisan baker Isabel in her activity to decorate a range of spring & summer themed flower cupcakes or create your own dream catcher with Balm Jewelley.

If slime is not for you, don’t worry, there is something to suit everyone, with the centre’s range of classic activities including; circus skills, puppet show, reptile & bird of prey handling, fairy & dragon houses, pottery painting, pottery throwing on a wheel, jewellery making, textile craft workshops, chocolate painting, candle dipping, and stone carving.
Don’t forget to share any of the creative creations that you make in during these activities on social media as Taurus Crafts look forward to see everything that their visitors make.

The centre is open daily 10am until 5.30pm and is free to get in with a large free car park. Located just outside Lydney town on the A48.

Taurus Crafts is part of the Camphill Village Trust, a charity supporting adults with learning disabilities. Taurus Crafts provides work and training opportunities, so people can interact with the public and gain confidence from their achievements.
