About Colleys Restaurant in Lechlade-on-Thames
A visit to the pretty little market town of Lechlade will conjure up three things in your mind – the beautiful start of the River Thames, lots of antiques and Colleys! Having spent 25 years as the town’s ‘must visit’ restaurant, head chef and co-owner Donald Cartwright’s food and service continue to impress both visitors and locals from morning coffee to after dinner goodnights.
Colleys present food in two different restaurant styles. A lunch time café/brasserie serving dishes from a daily changing blackboard menu, with classic steak burgers, beautifully crusted pies and luxury fishcakes all regulars on the menu.
After lunch a transformation breezes through the dining room in preparation for dinner. A table at Colleys for dinner is a table for the whole evening, with the emphasis on relaxed contemporary dining - a four course menu with everything from the bread to the fabulous puddings all made by Donald and his long-standing brigade.
For something completely different Colleys now ‘taste the world’ once a month. An evening dedicated to one of Donald’s favourite cuisines, recent trips have been fully booked to the Bangkok Bistro, All American Diner and Down & Out in Paris & Lechlade! Check the website for your next trip.
With recent recommendations in Vogue surely now Colleys must be on your mind!
