About the National Diving & Activity Centre

The National Diving & Activity Centre is based in Chepstow, Gloucestershire, Our flooded quarry offers some of the best inland dive conditions in Europe with a range of depths from 0-9, 9-18, 26, 45, 50 and 80 metres.

The waters have many attractions including, amongst many others, a BAE Aircraft, a Saracen Armoured Vehicle, two Wessex Helicopter, a Double Decker Bus and a Stalwart Amphibious vehicle.

If you would like to learn to dive, we have a comprehensive range of Scuba Diving courses in our Dive School.

The facilities on site are there to make life as easy as possible. The water's edge can be reached by walking, or using the courtesy vehicles that will take you and your kit from the parking areas to the 144 metres of pontoon every 20 minutes. And to help you further kit trolleys and climbing points are also available.

As you would expect, the centre has full rescue facilities and fully trained staff. We also have classrooms for instructor and club use, a shop, a brand new state of the art gas room, equipment hire, equipment servicing, changing rooms and toilets.

Accommodation at the National Diving & Activity Centre

We also have available onsite accommodation in the form of Wooden Wigwams. Sleeping up to five adults, Wigwams are the ultimate eco cabin; double-glazed, secure, cosy and warm whatever the time of year. A low cost alternative to hotels and B&Bs, our Wigwams truly offer all year round camping, and the best bit, no pitching a tent in the rain!

The View Café Bar at the National Diving & Activity Centre

The latest addition to the site is our new Café Bar complex, The View. The Cafe is open from 7am until 9pm, with the licensed bar open from 11am to 11pm.

With breathtaking views overlooking our Chepstow quarry, the View Café Bar serves an extensive range of hot & cold meals as well as a wide selection of beers, wines and soft drinks from the licensed bar. We also have free WiFi and two very posh coffee machines that make a lovely freshly ground coffee, perfect to prepare you for a morning of activity.

The View Café Bar is for everyone; Divers and visitors alike are able to sit inside or out on the decked veranda. When you sit at one of our tables with the stunning views across the water you'll see why we've named our Cafe Bar 'The View'!
