The Pirates of Penzance: A Spectacular Musical at the Everyman Theatre in Cheltenham

Gilbert and Sullivan’s touching masterpiece, The Pirates of Penzance, comes to life at the Everyman Theatre in Cheltenham with a 50-strong company of international singers and the full orchestra size that Sullivan envisioned. This delightful tale follows a pirate’s apprentice who falls hopelessly in love with the daughter of a Major-General, leading to hilariously absurd consequences.

Directed by Glyndebourne favourite Donna Stirrup and conducted by BBC Radio 3 presenter Martin Handley, this production allows Gilbert and Sullivan’s work to resonate as richly as intended. Audiences can expect an unforgettable night out at the theatre filled with laughter, romance, and splendid music.

This performance is part of the Cheltenham events calendar, showcasing exceptional entertainment. It is an unmissable evening of musical theatre at its finest, making it a perfect choice for anyone looking for things to do in Cheltenham.
