Pretty Vacant at The Roses Theatre Tewkesbury

Thursday 23 January 2025

Few musical revolutions have defined a generation like Punk and New Wave. Following the trailblazing eras of Rock and Roll in 1956, Beatlemania in 1963, and Flower Power in 1967, this movement emerged between 1976 and 1979, transforming music and popular culture worldwide. Born in New York, matured in London, and embraced globally, Punk and New Wave brought a bold, ‘DIY’ approach to music and fashion that left an indelible mark.

Pretty Vacant - The Story of Punk and New Wave takes audiences on an unforgettable journey, bringing the energy, attitude, and iconic sounds of the era to life. An immensely talented cast of musicians, singers, and dancers delivers powerful performances of timeless hits by The Sex Pistols, The Clash, Blondie, The Damned, Ramones, Buzzcocks, Sham 69, and many more. Kevin Kennedy, known for his role as Curly Watts in Coronation Street and his acclaimed West End appearances in We Will Rock You and Rock of Ages, lends his talents as narrator for this electrifying experience.

This show is a must for anyone seeking exciting things to do in Tewkesbury or looking for unforgettable nights out with live music in Tewkesbury.
