Nature in Art at Wallsworth Hall is the world's first museum and art gallery dedicated to art inspired by nature. They run creative art courses throughout the year.
With over 35 years of experience as a wildlife artist and illustrator, Kim Thompson will share her expert acrylic painting techniques in this two-day course. Working from start to finish on canvas board, participants will learn how to manage the fast-drying nature of acrylics, build layers, and add intricate details like eyes, fur, and textures found in nature. Kim will guide you through composing a scene from photo references and sketches. This workshop is ideal for those looking to improve their acrylic painting skills, whether you’re a beginner or have some experience. Kim’s relaxed and encouraging teaching style ensures a supportive learning environment.
Materials will be provided within the session for a charge of £20 to be paid on the day.
