Macbeth at Berkeley Castle
Thursday 24 - Friday 25 July 2025
The Dukes Theatre Company presents a bold and contemporary reimagining of Macbeth, Shakespeare’s gripping tale of ambition, betrayal and psychological turmoil.
Directed by Robert Shaw Cameron (Coronation Street, Regents Park Open Air Theatre, Sheffield Crucible) and designed by Jessica Curtis (Hampstead Theatre, Almeida Theatre, Royal National Theatre), this powerful open-air production promises a fresh take on the timeless tragedy.
With just six acclaimed actors, this streamlined yet dynamic interpretation places a sharp focus on the unravelling minds of its central characters. As part of a new era of Summer touring, this performance exemplifies The Dukes Theatre Company’s commitment to high-quality, emotionally driven storytelling in open-air settings.
Please note: The performance will be held on the Lower Lawns, which is accessed by steps or a steep hill. Lighting is limited when the sun goes down, so please bring a torch.
