Christmas parade to light up Cheltenham this Saturday
Join in the Christmas celebrations and see all the lights switched on.
Father Christmas will again be taking time out of his busy schedule to turn on the Christmas lights and join in the Christmas parade in Cheltenham on Saturday 23 November.
Father Christmas will be at the Regent Arcade for the Christmas lights switch on at 5.15pm and at the Beechwood shopping centre for their switch on at 5.30pm. You can then follow Father Christmas through the streets of Cheltenham as he boards Trigger the Train for the Christmas parade which moves along the High Street from 5.45pm and makes its way to the Brewery, with their Christmas lights switched on at 6.15pm.
Sparkling entertainment will take place at all three shopping centres - there’s even guaranteed snow, whilst the Brewery will play host to a variety of local talent to entertain you from 3pm to 8pm.
The parade is organised in partnership with the Regent Arcade, the Brewery, Beechwood shopping centre, Prestbury Marketing and the Cheltenham Business Partnership. It promises to be an evening of fun and entertainment for all the family, featuring Trigger the Train, fantastic live music and Christmas street entertainment to create a great atmosphere throughout the town centre.
Martin Quantock, Cheltenham Business Partnership Manager, says: “The Christmas parade is aimed at families and children in particular. All the businesses and the council have worked hard together to stage this event and we all hope that it draws lots of people into the town for what promises to be a great fun evening.”
