The historic Fountain Inn, Gloucester re-opens!
Ben McCullough is pleased to announce that he will be re-opening the Fountain Inn today (Friday 17th July) following its closure earlier this month. He has teamed up with Paul Soden (of Café René) with the main objective being to re-vitalise a key city centre pub and ensure that independent businesses are kept alive in the city.
Steeped in history The Fountain is a 16th century historic Inn located in the city centre, which stands in the shadows of Gloucester Cathedral.
The Fountain will re-open with an exciting new menu courtesy of resident chef Harry Morse and a new wine list offering quality house wine. They will be keeping a wide and varied selection of traditional real ales.
Ben stated that "It is vital that that all the city centre pubs and restaurants compete with the Quays, which have had millions of pounds invested recently, whilst the city centre needs more support, especially for the night-time economy".
