Children’s summer swim offer at Cascades Leisure Centre

Children’s summer swim offer at Cascades Leisure Centre

Children can enjoy a summer swim this school holiday for just 50p a day - thanks to a bargain membership offer at Cascades Leisure Centre in Tewkesbury.

The popular centre, which is offering an unlimited swimming membership for six weeks, has a range of fun features to keep children entertained - including a slide, water fountains and a rock pool.

The membership is available for children under 16 from 20 July to 30 August and costs only £20.15.

Tewkesbury Borough Council's Lead Member for Health and Wellbeing Cllr Roin Allen said: "We’re hoping lots of children come along to Cascades during their summer holidays and enjoy a summer splash. Encouraging active and healthy lifestyles is very important to us and being able to offer an unlimited swimming membership means they can enjoy the pool and facilities as much as they like over the break."

The centre's well-known seadoos will also be available for hire over the summer.  The motorised scooters drive swimmers through the water at 5mp and have helped to increase pool participation and encourage a fun-filled atmosphere.

Drop-in sessions for the single-hire scooters, which are suitable for anyone who can swim more than 25m, cost £10 per half hour and will be taking place throughout the coming month.

The seadoos can also be booked for private parties between 4pm and 5pm on Saturday afternoons.  This requires a minimum of 12 people for a cost of £120, with any additional participants at £1 per head.

To find out more about the summer membership or to enquire about a seadoo drop-in session, please phone the leisure centre on 01684 293740 or visit www.tewkesbury.gov.uk/cascades.
