The Warehouse open on Christmas Day for Climbers Against Cancer
High spirits abound as The Warehouse Climbing Centre opens its doors for merry adventure on Christmas Day
A number of staff will be kindly volunteering their time to open the climbing centre on 25th December for anyone who wants some Christmas adventure while raising money for the charity Climbers Against Cancer.
The main Climbing Arena, as well as the adult and kids zone Bouldering areas will be open from between 9am to 2pm, while the CafeBar will also be serving drinks & snacks, with donations from local suppliers including a keg of beer from Gloucester Brewery, and coffee from Ethical Addictions.
Director Andrew Glassford added “To be honest, I wasn’t sure the idea would take off! The initial reaction was one of surprise, but the response has been amazing. The good will of people offering their own time to raise funds for a good cause, and at this time of the year it couldn’t be more apt!”
To help raise as much as possible, entry will be charged as a donation equal to the standard entry prices – even for regular Members. There will be also Climbers Against Cancer t-shirts available to purchase. Every penny raised from the sales and entry will go to Climbers Against Cancer who, in turn, will use every penny to raise awareness and funds for cancer research.
