More spring activities on Adam's Farm this May
Round up the flock! Cotswold Farm Park announces exciting spring activities, including brand-new sheepdog show for May Half-Term Holidays
Bottle feeding, sheep shearing and sheep dog demonstrations are all on offer at Adam Henson’s Cotswold Farm Park this spring. With the beauty of The Cotswolds in full bloom, the attraction has revealed the ways in which families can get up-close to the members of its flock, which also includes two brand-new rare and native calf arrivals.
A fantastic new addition to the Farm Park’s line up of family activities is their new Sheepdog Show. Guests will be treated to an impressive display of skill and precision by two highly trained working dogs as they expertly move a flock of sheep into their pen. Throughout the 45 minute demonstration, visitors will learn about the communication used between the dogs and their human handlers, as well as witnessing the incredible way in which the sheep respond to the dogs’ movements. This is an unmissable opportunity to experience the fascinating world of sheepdog trials and learn about the wonderful bond between farmer and dog.
The much-loved bottle feeding activities will also return, and will be on offer to visitors until the end of September. These unforgettable sessions allow animal fans to create precious memories as they take care of the adorable lambs and goat kids, and play an important role in feeding them. And there is plenty of work to be done, with the Farm Park recently announcing that they were home to the country’s largest lambing event in 2023, with over 800 little arrivals this year.
With the warm weather on the way, it’s time to relieve the Farm Park’s sheep of their woolly winter coats. From Saturday 27th May – Sunday 4th June the Animal Barns will be abuzz, as the experts host a series of sheep shearing demonstrations, teaching visitors about the care and management of animals, along with the opportunity to learn about the superb qualities of wool, and how it is used today, from clothing through to wool filled mattresses.
And that’s not all that’s on offer. Brand-new animal housing has been installed on the Rare Breed’s trail which will allow visitors to closely observe and feed the Farm Park’s famous rare breed farm animals from a fresh perspective. Newly installed interactive features and activities across the attraction will also encourage youngsters to learn more about their surroundings while solving problems, as well as teaching them lots of fun farming and animal facts along the way.
As a bonus, spring visitors to the Farm Park will also be able to catch a glimpse of the friendly new additions to the herd, including five-year-old Highland Cow, Rosanna’s, brand-new bull calf, and a rare breed White Park bull calf. Both new arrivals will be on display throughout the spring and summer for visitors to meet.

Bottle feeding sessions, sheep dog demonstrations, and sheep shearing are all included in the price of the Cotswold Farm Park entry ticket, which also includes participation in all of the usual play activities, from meeting and feeding the animals to indoor and outdoor play areas and opportunities to explore the beautiful Cotswold surroundings.
Sheep shearing demonstrations [LG3] will take place daily between 12.00-1.00pm for visitors to drop in and watch, and the Sheepdog Show will kick off each day at 2pm between Saturday 27th May and Sunday 4th June.
Bottle-feeding will take place at 11:30 am and 3:30pm each day until 1st October and is included in Farm Park entry.
