Nature in Art Hosts Wildlife Photographer of the Year Exhibition in Gloucester Once Again!

Nature in Art is delighted to announce the return of the Natural History Museum’s Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition. Marking its 60th year, this iconic display of breathtaking imagery celebrates the beauty and diversity of the natural world.
Running from 4th February to 6th April, the exhibition will take place at Nature in Art, Wallsworth Hall, located just outside Gloucester.
This long-standing collaboration between Nature in Art and the globally renowned competition spans over three decades, reflecting its enduring popularity.
The Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition is a highlight on the calendar for those seeking what’s on in Gloucester and those with a passion for wildlife and photography.
Celebrating Global Talent in Nature Photography
Launched in 1965, the Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition has grown to become a beacon for showcasing nature’s splendour and fragility. Now in its sixtieth year, the competition received entries from 117 countries, underscoring its international acclaim.
The Adult Grand Title was awarded to Canadian photographer Shane Gross for The Swarm of Life, an awe-inspiring underwater capture that highlights the bustling vibrancy and delicate balance of marine ecosystems. In the Young Grand Title category, Alexis Tinker-Tsavalas mesmerised the judges with Life Under Dead Wood, a compelling portrayal of the intricate ecosystems thriving beneath a decaying log.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to influence the competition by voting in the People’s Choice Award, open until 29th January 2025. The award invites global audiences to select their favourite image from a specially curated shortlist, adding an interactive element to this remarkable exhibition.
