Martin Shaw Stars in A Man for All Seasons at the Everyman Theatre

Martin Shaw Takes to the Everyman Theatre Stage in A Man for All Seasons

Acclaimed stage and screen actor Martin Shaw arrives at the Everyman Theatre, Cheltenham, next week in A Man for All Seasons, playing from 11 – 15 February. This gripping historical drama, written by Robert Bolt and directed by Jonathan Church, brings one of England’s most compelling figures, Sir Thomas More, vividly to life.

Best known for his television roles in Judge John Deed, Inspector George Gently, and The Professionals, Martin Shaw takes on the role of the principled statesman who famously defied King Henry VIII. Set against the backdrop of Tudor England, A Man for All Seasons tells the powerful true story of More’s moral and political struggle as he refuses to compromise his beliefs, ultimately leading to his tragic downfall.

Joining Shaw is an outstanding cast, including Gary Wilmot (Me & My Girl, Wicked), Edward Bennett (War Horse, Photograph 51), and Abigail Cruttenden (Not Going Out, The Theory of Everything), bringing this award-winning play to life in a stunning new production.

Following its opening at Theatre Royal Bath, the production embarks on a UK tour, with Cheltenham audiences among the first to experience this gripping tale of courage and conviction.

📅 Don't miss this powerful drama at the Everyman Theatre from 11 – 15 February.
🎟 Tickets available now via the Everyman Theatre box office on 01242 572573 or online at Everyman Theatre Cheltenham.
