Changes are underfoot at Gloucester Folk Museum
Folk Tea Rooms
As part of the Lottery funded museum make-over the Folk Museum will be opening the Folk Tea Rooms in the next couple of months. The Double Gloucester Dairy will be transformed into a haven of home baked goods, speciality teas and coffees, wholesome lunches and seasonal foods. Think vintage chic meets country kitchen and come and enjoy a treat to eat in or take away.
Opening 11am – 4pm Tuesday – Saturday
Folk Boutique
Another exciting change is the opening of the Folk Boutique in March. The current shop stocks wooden toys, games, traditional gifts and books. This will be extended to include kitch and retro gifts, designer household goods, local crafts and jewellery.
Retro Room
The Portal at the front of the museum is also due for an overhaul. Opening in March the new Retro Room will be 50’S/60’S inspired room complete with original kitchen setting, a working jukebox and a real trip down memory lane. Come and see how homes looked over 50 years ago and pop on your favourite tune from our selection.
